EVERY WARD, EVERY DOORSTEP

Find one person in the City of Doors.

Every generated lot in Sigil carries an owner and the people who live on it, and each of them has a people, a faction, three ratings and a sentence or two about who they are. Nothing about them is stored — they are drawn from their own doorstep — so this searches the city rather than a list, and says how far it has got. Search a name, a people, a faction, a trade or a street.
Everyone here is an atlas extension, not canon. The 178 people the workbook names, and the 847 households under them, live on the district's own people page.

How these people are made

A lot's family and valuation band are drawn first, then its trade, then the people on it. A person's faction comes from their district's own distribution; their people is a weighted draw bent by the ward, by that faction, by what the lot is worth and by what is sold there — the same four bends the workbook build applies in the district, plus the ward. Their three ratings are independent 2d6−7 rolls. The sentences under a name are picked from pools their own ratings, wealth and ward open up, each by its own roll, so two people with the same numbers still read differently. Every one of those draws is keyed on the person's own id, so the same doorstep always holds the same person.
